Linking Aadhaar with PAN (Permanent Account Number) is a simple process that can be done online through the Income Tax Department’s e-filing portal. Here are the steps to link Aadhaar with PAN:

Visit the Income Tax e-filing portal at https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ and click on the “Link Aadhaar” button on the homepage.
Enter your PAN, Aadhaar number, and name as per Aadhaar in the respective fields.

If only the year of birth is mentioned on your Aadhaar card, tick the checkbox, and then click on “Link Aadhaar”.
In case of any minor mismatch in your name as compared to the Aadhaar card, you will be required to confirm the linkage request. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number and email ID, and you will need to enter it on the website to proceed.
After validation from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), your Aadhaar will be successfully linked with your PAN.

You can also link Aadhaar with PAN by sending an SMS to 567678 or 56161 with the format UIDPAN<12 digit Aadhaar><10 digit PAN>.
It is important to link Aadhaar with PAN, as it has been made mandatory by the government for income tax purposes. If you do not link your Aadhaar with PAN, your income tax return may not be processed, and you may face penalties.
